El Paso is a pioneer when it comes to commuting to and from Mexico. Currently
18,000 people enjoy the benefits of the Dedicated Commuter Lane (DCL). It is a
high-efficient, low-risk commuter lane that enables motorists to commute across
the border into the United States, in minutes. Efficient travel to and from El
Paso and Juarez is now at its peak.
-
Highly Efficient - Maximum wait times range from three minutes during the day,
to 15 minutes during rush hour traffic. The system is so finely tuned, that it
can allow more traffic to cross in the DCL in one hour then all other lanes
combined!
-
Low Risk - Acceptance for a DCL permit requires the applicant to go through a
pre-selection process, in which a thorough background check is required. This
ensures that only qualified applicants can utilize the DCL, keeping waiting
times to a minimum.
A few requirements and application fees are required. For more information on
enrollment of this program call (915) 872-3472. A DCL application can be found
