REDCo's role as the only organization responsible for recruiting new business
and industry to the El Paso/Juárez region allows us to maintain strong working
relationships with the local supplier base. Our clients in the manufacturing
industry seek to have current information on supplier capabilities. In order to
adequately present the capabilities of suppliers in El Paso, Juárez, and
Southern New Mexico, we have implemented a campaign to gather supplier and
maintain supplier information. The Supplier Database, created and managed by REDCo's partner, the City of El Paso's Economic Development Department, can be used for either of the following two purposes:
- as a search tool for companies seeking suppliers in El Paso and/or Juarez, or
- to register a company that is a supplier in El Paso and/or Juarez.

Many global manufacturing companies have established efficient and competitive manufacturing facilities in Mexico, referred to as “maquiladoras”. El Paso’s sister city, Juarez, Mexico is home to 350 maquildoras that employ more than 240,000 manufacturing workers. These companies, approximately 85% of whom come from the United States, purchase an estimated $8 billion per year in components, raw materials and services, providing an excellent opportunity for high quality suppliers of all types.
