The region is home to more than 110,000 manufacturing workers in the automotive sector, primarily from Tier 2 and Tier 3 suppliers. Six of the world’s top ten automotive supply companies have significant manufacturing presence in the region.  Our strategy is to build upon this robust supply base to attract major component suppliers (engines, drive trains, etc.) and eventually a final assembly operation.  The community has the ability to offer dual rail service from both Union Pacific (UP) and Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF), and has also set aside 1,000 acres of land to attract such a project.
